CurbWise helps people find curb parking information in New York City. This policy explains what information CurbWise collects, how it is used, and how you can contact us.

Information We Collect

Location and Search Information

When you use CurbWise to search for parking, the app may send the following information to the CurbWise backend:

CurbWise uses this information to return nearby parking rules, show curb status, improve reliability, and understand whether the service is working correctly.

For routine search analytics, CurbWise stores location in a coarse grid cell rather than storing exact search coordinates.

Issue Reports

If you submit an issue report, CurbWise may collect:

CurbWise uses issue reports to investigate incorrect parking rules, missing meters, bad locations, routing problems, and similar data quality issues.

Device and App Information

CurbWise may collect limited technical information needed to operate and debug the service, such as app version, build number, request status, response time, and server error information.

Information We Do Not Collect

CurbWise does not require an account. CurbWise does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, payment information, or advertising identifiers through the app.

CurbWise does not sell personal information and does not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

How We Use Information

CurbWise uses collected information to:

Sharing Information

CurbWise uses service providers to operate the app and backend, such as hosting, database, and infrastructure providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide the service.

CurbWise also uses Apple services and frameworks such as Core Location and MapKit to support location and map features. CurbWise is not responsible for data collected independently by Apple under Apple's own policies.

CurbWise does not share app data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Retention

CurbWise retains search analytics and issue report information for as long as needed to operate, debug, and improve the service.

Search analytics are designed to be stored in coarse form. Issue reports may include exact coordinates and notes because they are used to investigate specific parking data problems.

Your Choices

You can use CurbWise without granting location permission by searching for an address, business, or landmark instead.

You can revoke location permission at any time in the iOS Settings app.

To request deletion of information associated with an issue report or to ask privacy questions, contact support@curbwise.app.

Children

CurbWise is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes To This Policy

CurbWise may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
